Mango Salsa

  • Author: Melissa

Description

Oh how I love mango salsa. It goes well with fish, chicken, beef, on a salad bar or just tortilla chips. Mango season is my favorite time in Florida. During July and August I load up on as many as I can afford! I’d like to say I do all kinds of creative things with them, but usually I just stand and the sink to peel and eat them. Its beautiful mix of color make whatever you pair it with look better. It’s not an exact science to make any salsa, just look at the ingredients and let your eyes and taste buds guide you to the perfect salsa.

Ingredients

2 mangos, peeled and diced

2 tablespoons red onion, finely diced

1 teaspoon garlic, minced

2 tablespoons red pepper, finely diced

1 teaspoon jalapeno pepper, finely diced

1/2 teaspoon olive oil

juice from 1 lime

1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped

Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients and chill for 1 hour.
